Size 20 black midge adult leads to a 19" Cutty with bright early season colors. Today, the permanent move here makes sense, after two weeks of cold and grey, a little sunshine goes a long way.
The Snake in early spring, midge are on the water and the Cut are starting to wake up. Record snowpack this year, it is going to be a long run-off.....or one hell of a rush of water if it warms up fast.
This fox showed up around the lodge this afternoon is a pretty good indicator that things around Grand Teton National Park are starting to wake up. Bear sightings have been reported up in Yellowstone so it shouldn't be too long until we start to see them in the GTNP.
